Simon Weston visits

Simon Weston OBE, Falklands veteran and motivational speaker, was engaged at a fundraising event at the Southwell Minster School. He spoke to a capacity audience and – with raffle, bar and collections – helped raise over £2,000 for NPAC.

E2E Presentations

Councillor Cutts, chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council, presentated certificates and gives tokens to the Ollerton Entry to Employment (E2E) Group in recognition of their terrific efforts helping NPAC in the previous year.

Albania Recce

Rita, Pat and Joan, three NPAC members and retired teachers, have left for a six-day scoping exercise in Albania, searching for new places that the charity can assist. Albania is still the poorest country in Europe.

Container Graffiti

Professional graffiti artists, aided by various youth groups and schools, have completed three weeks’ work on our two containers sitting outside our Crown Farm Warehouse. The results are spectacular and will raise eyebrows wherever they’re seen!

Isaac Kapambwe visits

Our good friend and host, Isaac Kapambwe, travelled from Zambia for his first visit to the UK! With us for ten days, he found it very cold but had a wonderful time on his first trip outside his native country.

Big donation from Speedo

When Speedo moved for the first time in 100 years to new premises, we were the lucky recipients of redundant office furniture and fittings. Many NPAC members turned out to help load the lorries!

Heritage School Container

On the first day of the Christmas holidays, the Heritage School at Clowne, Derbyshire, were moving into new premises – but passed by our container sat in the playground and dropped off all manner of useful things for Nyimba High School in Zambia!

Container for Ghana

Our container for Ghana leaves containing, amongst other things, protective equipment donated from police services all over the UK and collected courtesy of Sarah Smithurst.

Lighting Africa

NPAC met with the Lighting Africa charity which creates opportunities, employment and income for local people in Africa – manufacturing LED lighting powered by solar energy. We propose that our containers, left on site, are turned into workshops!
